Based in the heart of Glasgow's West End, they were specialists in contemporary Scottish art, and unique contemporary jewellery .
After over 30 years success in the Antiques business where he was recognised and respected for his specialist knowledge in Arts & Crafts and the Glasgow style (you may have spotted him on antiques programs). Bruce Finnie’s diversification to selling Contemporary Scottish Art has been what he regards as a natural transition.
Bruce has been steeped in art from an early age - his artist father Bob Finnie was a senior lecturer and latterly a governor at Glasgow School of Art. Bruce would often have been seen in and around the Mackintosh building as a child where he had a great rapport with other lecturers such as Bob Stewart, Chuck Mitchell, Jimmy Cosgrove and others. He also has fond memories of being surrounded by students like Pam Carter and Joe Hargan .
Knowing the artists is important to Bruce so he naturally specialises in promoting and selling Glasgow art as he likes to know the artists personally, their backgrounds, techniques, etc.
